Our
new shop is open now. It is much larger than our previous location enabling us to carry even more variety.
We have lined up a group of talented artisans and crafters from the region who will restock on a regular basis. The
shop is filled with quality yet affordable finds, many handcrafted, vintage and sterling silver jewelry pieces and much
more... Please check "what we offer at the shop" tab for some pictures and prices. And what we
carry will continuously change.
Our new address is 117 South Richard Street, next-door to where we were. Our
email address and phone number both remain the same at our new location.
It all happened by chance—or
good fortune… On a weekend trip while visiting friends in the area, we discovered Bedford, a beautiful
small town tucked in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. We have now moved to Bedford and opened a
shop we named A Touch of Serendipity, because:
--It
was serendipity that while visiting friends in the area, we discovered Bedford.
--When you visit our shop, you might accidentally find something you are not looking for.
That’s what serendipity means: accidentally finding something you are not looking
for.
In these hard economic times, we do
realize now might not be the best time to open a new business, but we truly believe things are going to get better soon.
Another reason we opened a shop now is because my husband had had it hearing me talk daily about an imaginary
shop.
We are not set up to take credit cards yet, but
shall do so sometime soon. Instead, you’ll get our low prices that you will continue to get even after we
start accepting credit cards.
